Who’s getting excited for our summer workshops? I know we are!!!

If you’re not already booked on to our workshops we would greatly appreciate the support from our students. It will so much fun for you all and we can’t wait to see you all there. These workshops are not just for Tallah students but anyone that is interested so if you know of anyone that may want to take part in the workshops then we ask kindly if you could spread the word.

Monday 4th - AGE 12+ (10am- 2pm)

Mondays workshop will be for older students and will consist of:

Heels 11-12

Break 12-12:15

Contemporary Jazz 12:15-13:00

Fusion 13:00-14:00

Tuesday 5th- AGE 8-11 (9am-12pm)

Tuesday will be our Tweenie workshop and will consist of:

Acro 9-9:45

Commercial 10-10:45

Contemporary 11-11:45

Wednesday 6th- AGE 4-6 (12pm-1:30pm)

Wednesday we have a lot of minis joining us to take part in our cowgirl themed workshop. We have a super fun day planned that will consist of:

Partner line dancing 

Rodeo biscuits & horse shoe dream catchers

Over the weekend, 3 of our Tallah students took part in our very first dance competition. They all competed their solos that many of us would have seen them perform in the show. Firstly, we had our wonderful Cerys Cope, competing in the age 17+ Novice Lyrical solo section. After delivering an outstanding performance she gained 1st place along with a place in the Novice Bursary Final which is an exceptional achievement as it is but even more so for her first time out. We then had our amazing Alex Mugglestone competing in the age 15-16 Novice Contemporary solo section. He gave a very heartfelt performance delivering pure emotion and musicality. He came away with a shiny silver and a super big smile. Alex always dances with 100% dedication and we could not be happier with his performance. Lastly, we had  our fantastic Natalia Siddons serving sass, style and face in the age 17+ commercial solo section. After an explosive performance, Natalia also walked away with a gold medal and a place in the Novice Bursary Final that she competed in alongside Cerys. At the awards ceremony at the end of the weekend Cerys was awarded with Highest Mark Novice solo in here age category and Natalia walked away with NOVICE BURSARY RUNNER UP !!! We could not be prouder of our 3 students for their efforts over the weekend. It was so nice to see them get excited about it and support each other. We hope to see many more of you at our next competition we attend as I’m sure these 3 will agree it was so much fun! A very special and sad day for us at Tallah as we say goodbye to our very special teacher Hannah Thickett. Hannah has taught at Tallah for 5 years. She has driven progress in so many areas of student’s dance development. More than anything, she has shown a love for all she does with her students and her warmth, dedication, TALENT and commitment are only some of her best qualities! Hannah has created many lovely relationships over her time at Tallah and this is because she is a fabulous person we can always rely on! We know Hannah will always show up for us and be consistent in everything she does, we share some foundation memories together and it has truly been the best journey. Hannah is now entering a new and exciting chapter of her life that cannot be missed. She has really supported us in defining the Dance Academy and she encompasses everything anyone could wish for in a teacher. We will miss Hannah deeply and wish her the best of luck in her onward journey!

We are so excited that we are in show season and we are working super hard to ensure the show is slick and sophisticated!

We are so thrilled to have both Megan, Holly and teacher Hannah guiding us across the show line and bringing to life our UK VS USA theme!

Sadly, we will not be attending TOWERS until autumn now as it was becoming difficult with show rehearsals. On that note, please do reflect on emails for the upcoming prep- Sunday 22nd schedule, the dress run and changes to Friday 13th commercial and SAS!

After the show, we will have a party week before two weeks of fun lessons and summer break.
